Every penny we make goes back into services for you
Your Union is a non-profit organisation. Every penny that is spent in your Union stays in your Union This money is used to fund all the things that your Union has to offer students.
What sort of things does the Union fund?
The SAC (Student Advice Centre) – giving independent advice and support to any student who needs it
The Nightbus –making sure students get home safely
Sports Clubs – keeping our Athletic Union one of the best in the country
Societies – providing an outlet for students with a common interest to join together
Nightline – providing a confidential listening service
Student Democracy and representation – making sure that students get a voice on all senior University meetings and on a national level.
Sexual Health provisions – providing free condoms and lubricant
The Courier and N.S.R – giving Newcastle students an impendent voice
So when you buy a pint of diesel in the Mens Bar or a coffee in the Cochrane Lounge always remember that you are helping to support a whole range of services that really do matter to students and will make difference to peoples University life.
